St. Nicholas Alumni

Welcome Letter

St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church

Alumni Council President’s Message

It is my honor to serve as inaugural president of the St. Nicholas of Tolentine School Alumni Association and to chair the Council that serves as the central volunteer leadership organization for St. Nicholas of Tolentine School alumni. Together with the Officers: Josephine Antenucci (Class of ’65) Vice President, Loredana Sesso (Class of ’88) Treasurer and Nicole DiCicco (Class of ’86) Secretary, we meet with the council members and discuss innovative ways to keep a connection with Alumni and how best to assist St. Nicholas of Tolentine School.

The Council (SNTSAC) is comprised of 10–15 alumni drawn from various class years. The SNTSAC represents alumni interests and concerns, encourages alumni to remain active members of the St. Nick’s community, and helps alumni find meaningful ways to connect and reconnect to the School and to each other.

Our areas of emphasis

  • Service SNTSAC — Members serve as ambassadors in the communities in which they reside and actively support the mission of Alumni Relations.
  • Recognizing Excellence — The SNTSAC sponsors the annual Riunione Tra Amici event where outstanding alumni are honored for contributions to their professions, community, and the School.
  • Advancing the School — The SNTSAC encourages alumni to support St. Nicholas School not only financially, but by joining a local alumni club, serving as a career mentor, or attending School and Parish events.

Mission Statements

Mission Statement for Alumni Council

After their years have passed, alumni still maintain ties to St. Nicholas of Tolentine, and together we can provide opportunities for professional development, networking, volunteering, and friendship building. The Alumni Council is made up of alumni volunteers who are elected for three-year terms. These alumni help shape and influence the policies and direction of the Alumni Association. The Council meets a minimum of four times a year, elects the Association Officers, and determines the policies and programs to be carried out by the Alumni Association. Council members also serve on committees and task forces to plan and implement alumni programs and services.

Executive Board

The governing body of Council meets two additional times each year and is responsible for Alumni Association affairs between Council meetings. The Alumni Association and its dedicated Alumni Council volunteers work to provide the best for St. Nicholas of Tolentine and its many constituents. All are exceptional examples of St. Nicholas of Tolentine excellence. The St. Nicholas of Tolentine Alumni Association—a powerful network of members—connects alumni to the School and to each other, provides valued services to members, and supports the Parish and School’s mission of faith, teaching, and service.
